To your attention !

a monsieurwilly world - Fri, 2010-12-31 11:26
A big part of the Zshare links are dead. I'll not updating the blog in a particular order. If you want download more a track than another write it to me and I will download them progressively as your requests come and try to make an update in the following of your different requests. Use the comments section of this post to your request.

Don't forget that those tracks are only to promote my world as a DJ. Songs posted on this blog are only a way to make you discover underground unknown black music without promotion and tribute to history. The most part of those tracks are out of the business. If you're an artist or copyright holder and if you want remove something because you don't want a free promo of your forget tracks, send an e-mail. If you're happy that we don't forget you, send an e-mail too !

i created this blog to share some of my collection ... i have over 3,500 lp`s.
i am using an old vintage marantz 1150D amp [ thanks pa ! ], Yamaha YP-D4 turntable , seasound SOLO EX soundcard , & nuendo to do all tranfers.
this seems to capture the warmth of vinyl as well , which is really nice !
most of my wax is real clean so i hope to get some clean transfers.
minor eq / comp if needed to add more clarity. also a bit of WAVS x-clik , x-pop , etc.
some recordings will be cd transfers , but the majority will be scare psych LP`s.
i have about a thousand cds , many of which are OOP & obscure enuff to share.
i am new to the blog thing , but have noticed alot of really obscure stuff being posted. i will try & fill in the cracks as best i can , but i am sure there be someone / somewhere who beats me to the punch , so to speak.
i just dont wanna waste time with something that is already avaliable , so i will try & keep my posts as original as feasable.
i am a huge psych fan & collector , so as i mentioned the majority , 70% will be pre `70 psych & or pop psych , or just plain wierd [ bonzo dog band ]
all files are the result of my own effort & time , from my own personal collection. no files here are borrowed or otherwise mirrored & or cloned.
i expect the same reciprication.
LASTLY IF YOU LIKE/LOVE ANY OF THESE LP`S , PLEASE SEEK IT OUT & BUY IT `

enjoy your time in the kosmos & if ya take time to download the music , take time to let me know what ya think please!

Together (A song for Haiti) (HTML)

Blentwell - Tue, 2010-02-23 16:24
My boy Mike the Math Teacher is back again with his talented class of kids at HSRA (high school for the recording arts). And this time they have put together a great heart-felt song dedicated to those suffering in Haiti. This song strikes the right emotional note for the current crisis. And it feels a great deal more appropriate than the over-hyped MTV benefit. Check this video for the song out and PLEASE share this with anyone you know who would appreciate this! - Source Site:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMbDYNDC3sA

The Golden Filter

Big Stereo - 53 min 32 sec ago

Pitchfork just tipped off the new Golden Filter single, “Hide Me.” A bit airier/dreamier than earlier demo versions that have been floating around the net. A nice little intro into Voluspa for sure… nature love:

Where is Entrepreneurship Really Taught?

Read Write Web - 55 min 42 sec ago

Between Y Combinator's Startup School, the influx of seed fund incubators, the list of legendary mentor / investors and the dotcom bust's school of hard knocks, is there really any reason to go to grad school? At ReadWriteWeb we're supportive of lifelong learning and universities that coach entrepreneurs, but a recent post by Venture Hacks founder Naval Ravikant has us wondering, "What is the value in grad school?"

Sponsor

Ravikant suggests that incubators and accelerators like YCombinator and Techstars are the new grad school.

He writes, "In some ways, it's better" and includes the fact that unlike business schools, YCombinator pays entrepreneurs, allows founders to be their own boss and encourages original work.

In addition to Ravikant's points, the fact that every incubator participant is connected to advisors through a financial agreement means the group may be motivated to maintain their network and share contacts.Nevertheless, before dismissing the idea of grad school altogether, it's good to remember many of the top entrepreneurs and investors in Silicon Valley are MIT, Harvard and CalTech grads (including some of the Venture Hacks team). Perhaps the argument here is not so much about incubators over traditional institutions, but in the fact that good mentors have a stake in your success and do not rest on the laurels of a tenured position.

As a startup entrepreneur, what is the best lesson you've ever been taught and who taught it to you?
